Why turn an SVG into a PNG?

SVG is a good home for scalable shapes and editable artwork. PNG gives you a fixed-size image you can use in presentations, social posts, documents, and apps that don't accept SVG.

Keep your SVG source. You can always come back and export another size.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you convert.

Are my SVG files uploaded?

No. Your browser reads the SVG, renders the PNG, and creates the ZIP on your device. Formatide does not receive your files, filenames, or conversion results. Files stay in this page session until you clear them or leave.

Can I choose the PNG dimensions?

Yes. Keep the original size, choose a 1×–4× scale, or enter a custom size. Keep ratio scales each file proportionally. Fixed canvas fits the artwork inside your chosen width and height without stretching or cropping.

Will my PNG have a transparent background?

Choose Transparent to keep areas without artwork transparent. You can also fill those areas with white or a custom color. A white shape already drawn inside the SVG will stay white; this tool does not remove backgrounds.

How many files can I convert at once?

You can select up to 50 SVG files, with a 10 MB limit per file and 50 MB per batch. Each output is limited to 4,096 pixels per side and 16 megapixels. The converter holds up to 64 MB of PNG results at a time. If you reach this limit, download the completed ZIP part, confirm it is saved, and continue with the remaining files. Smaller batches work better on devices with less memory.

Why does my text or image look different?

SVGs can depend on fonts or linked resources that are not included in the file. Embed images and fonts, or convert text to outlines in your design app. Formatide does not fetch external resources. Scripts, animation, and embedded HTML are not supported.

What if my SVG has no width or height?

When possible, Formatide uses the SVG viewBox to suggest an output size. If no usable dimensions or aspect ratio are available, choose Custom, then Fixed canvas, and enter both dimensions.

Can I convert files without an internet connection?

Once this page and its conversion resources have fully loaded, the SVG to PNG conversion works locally, including previews. ZIP download also works once its packaging resource has loaded. Loading the website or a new resource still needs a connection.

Does increasing the scale improve image quality?

Vector shapes can be rendered at a larger pixel size without the blockiness of resizing a small PNG. Embedded bitmap images still have their original detail. PNG is lossless; choose pixel dimensions for your intended use rather than a quality or DPI setting.

A useful tool should make things simpler. That's what we're here for.
