How to convert SVG to JPG
- Choose SVG files. Each file is checked before a source preview is rendered.
- Select original size, scaling or custom dimensions. Choose a background and JPG quality.
- Convert, inspect the finished preview, then download an image or the completed batch as ZIP.
Replace transparency with a background you choose
JPG has no transparent pixels. This converter starts with a white canvas and also offers a custom solid color. Empty areas and partially transparent edges are composited onto that background before JPEG encoding. Choose the color of the surface where the image will appear to avoid an unexpected border around your logo.
A fixed canvas may add space around the artwork to preserve its proportions. That space uses the same background color. If you need to place the image on several different backgrounds, keep the SVG or use a transparent PNG or WebP instead.
Choose JPG for compatibility, and inspect fine details
JPG is useful when an upload form or an older app only accepts JPEG images. It is a lossy format: text, thin strokes and flat-color logos may show softened edges or small compression artifacts. The quality slider controls the browser’s JPEG encoder; a higher value usually preserves more detail and produces a larger file.
A quality value of 100 is not a lossless mode. Inspect the finished preview at its intended display size before saving a large batch. PNG often works better for sharp diagrams, screenshots and small icons. Keep the vector original so that another size can be rendered directly from the source.
Exact dimensions from the vector source
Original uses each SVG’s dimensions or viewBox. Scale renders each source at 1×, 2×, 3× or 4×. Custom Keep ratio uses the width or height you enter and preserves each file’s own proportions. Fixed canvas fits and centers the artwork without stretching or cropping; it also handles files without a usable aspect ratio.
Output is limited to 4,096 pixels on either side and 16 megapixels per image. Enlarging vector paths can preserve detail, but embedded bitmap images cannot gain missing detail. Missing fonts can change text layout: convert important text to outlines in your design app before export.
Static artwork, bounded batches
Up to 50 SVG files are accepted, with a 10 MB per-file and 50 MB batch limit. Scripts, event handlers, external images or fonts, HTML content and animation are rejected. Embedded images, SVG elements and filter complexity have separate safety limits. A file that fails inspection does not prevent valid files from completing.
Completed image results have a 64 MB memory budget. When the next result would exceed it, download the finished part, confirm that it saved, then continue. Cancellation stops upcoming work and discards stale results; a synchronous browser draw already in progress cannot be forcibly interrupted. Use smaller batches on mobile devices.
Keep the source and choose the right output
These downloads contain raster pixels, not editable SVG paths. Save your original separately. SVG to PNG provides lossless raster output; SVG to JPG provides compatibility with a solid background; SVG to WebP offers transparent, quality-controlled web images.
Files and ZIPs are processed locally. Optional analytics excludes filenames, SVG text and output bytes. Read how to verify local processing or identify another image format.
SVG to JPG questions
Can a JPG keep my SVG’s transparent background?
No. JPG uses a solid background. White is selected by default; choose Custom to use another color. Use SVG to PNG or SVG to WebP when transparency is needed.
Is SVG to JPG lossless?
No. SVG is rasterized at your chosen size and then encoded as a lossy JPEG. Even quality 100 does not preserve the editable vector shapes or guarantee lossless pixels.
Why does small text look different?
Text depends on fonts installed on your device, and JPEG compression can soften thin strokes. Convert text to outlines before export and consider PNG for sharp text and diagrams.
Can I choose a square JPG without stretching the SVG?
Yes. Choose Custom and Fixed canvas, then enter the same width and height. The artwork is centered and fitted without cropping; spare space uses your selected solid background.
Can I download several JPGs together?
Yes. Choose up to 50 SVGs within the file and batch limits. Completed images can be saved individually or in a ZIP. If the result memory budget is reached, save the completed part before continuing.
Are my SVGs or their filenames uploaded?
No. Files are read, checked, rendered and packaged on your device. Files and results stay in this tab until you clear them or leave. Optional analytics excludes filenames, SVG text and image bytes.
